Description
About Anubias hastifolia
Never bury the plant’s rhizome in the substrate, as it requires light on its rhizome. It takes root on driftwood or rough rocks, and the root system will naturally spread throughout the substrate over time. Although it has medium light requirements, planting Anubias hastifolia aquarium plants in a shaded area can reduce algae growth.
Propagation
Propagating the plant is easy. Use a pair of sharp, sterile scissors to cut the rhizome into two or more pieces, leaving three or more healthy leaves on each piece. Plant the new pieces in the substrate, ensuring that the rhizome is not buried.
