Anubias heterophylla
Anubias hеtеrорhуllа is one of the tallest Anubias species. Growing it partially submerged increases height, but it still grows quite tall when fully submerged. It is highly adaptable to a wide range of tank conditions, making it one of the more popular tall freshwater aquarium plants among beginners and experts alike. Rarely, the plant produces flowers underwater.

Description
About Anubias hеtеrорhуllа
This plant grows slowly, and its leaves have a long lifespan, allowing them to accumulate a layer of algae if left in slow moving water. The rhizome should not be covered by the substrate; it will rot if it is placed too deep.
Anubias hеtеrорhуllа is tolerant to most aquarium conditions, and it seldom needs to be cut back. In taller aquariums, the plant can produce long stems that reach for the surface. When grown submerged, the leaves are smaller and lighter in color.
Propagation
Divide the rhizome into two or three pieces and replant them, making sure that each piece has at least three leaves. Keep other plants away from the new plants, and allow plenty of room for the maturing pieces to grow. When planting the new plants, remember to keep the rhizome above the substrate.
