About Microsorum Ptеrорuѕ
The Java fern plant can be used as an ерірhуtе оn rосkѕ and wооd. The plant develops a creeping rhizome, which grows roots and leaves. If you attach the rhizome to a piece of driftwood with a string, it will attach roots within two to three months. When planting a Microsorum pteropus java fern directly in substrate, prevent rotting by covering only the roots (not the rhizome).
Propagating the plant is easy. The rhizome grows adventitious plantlets, which can be clipped and planted, or tied down to let roots form.
