Tropical waters and wetland bogs are biodiverse environments where plants play a key role in sustaining ecosystems that feature impressive fish, reptiles, amphibians, and more. No less remarkable than the fauna is the plants in these environments which encompass many types from surface-covering vegetation to submerged oxygenators. At Complete Aquatic Systems, we cultivate plants for tropical and bog vivariums (a.k.a. paludariums).

Where can I find information about how to care for this particular dendrobium? Light requirements, watering frequency, etc?

  This is a basic Dendrobium orchid, they need lots of light but not direct sunlight. Only needs to be watered a couple times a week and not soaked, this variety is from Thailand and does well in a humid environment. Check out the American Orchid Society for more information.
