Aquatic Tissue Culture Plants

Tissue culture plants are propagated in sterile packages where they grow in non-toxic, germ- and pest-free environments. Complete Aquatic Systems owns and operates our own tissue culture lab thus giving us total control over the varieties and quantities produced.  Another benefit to having our own lab is that we don't have any middlemen to deal with.

Hуgrорhіlа pinnatifida ‘Hygro Fern’

Hуgrорhіlа pinnatifida is a relatively new aquatic plant that originates from India. It can be recognized by its patchy, brown leaves on the surface, as well as its rich burgundy hue on the underside. The leaves of emersed aquatic plants grow shorter and wider than those that are underwater, and they tend to have more of a medium green color.

Description

Propagation

Top shoot cuttings develop poorly with Hуgrорhіlа pinnatifida. Use the runner-like lateral shoots. Growth rate varies depending on light, CO2, and nutrient supply. Use moderate light and less CO2 and nutrients for slow growth, and add more to boost the growth rate. This plant will probably grow above the waterline quickly in open tanks.

Cultivating the plant submersed leads to upright shoots and runner-like сrееріng shoots that can attach roots to solid surfaces, such as driftwood or rocks.
